leguminous
shrubby
plants

found
in
tropical
countries, a

herbaceous
species
being

American.
The
foliage
is
often
ashy-pubescent,

name.

toxicaria
is
used
in
the
West
Indies
and
in
Polynesia
for
stupefying
fish.

is
used
medicinally
in

East
Indies.
