Mostar

Mo star |ˈmōstär ˈmoʊstɑr | a city in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, southwest of Sarajevo, the chief town of Herzegovina; pop. 111,116 (2008 ). Its chief landmark, an old Turkish bridge across the Neretva River, was destroyed during the siege of the city by Serbian forces in 1993. The majority of Mostar's inhabitants are Muslim.
