Olaf II Haraldsson ( c. 995 –1030 ), reigned 1016 –30; canonized as St. Olaf for his attempts to spread Christianity in his kingdom. He is the patron saint of Norway. Feast day, July 29. Olaf III Haraldsson (died 1093 ), reigned 1066 –93. Olaf IV Haakonson (1370 –87 ), reigned 1380 –87. Olaf V (1903 –91 ), reigned 1957 –91; full name Olaf Alexander Edmund Christian Frederik.
