Chaney

Cha ney |ˈCHānē ˈtʃeɪni | the name of a family of US actors, notably: • Lon (1883 –1930 ); full name Alonso Chaney. A silent film star known as the Man of a Thousand Faces, he played a wide variety of deformed villains and macabre characters in more than 150 movies, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923 ) and The Phantom of the Opera (1925 ). • Lon, Jr. (1906 –1973 ), Lon's son; born Creighton Tull Chaney. He played the lead in a number of horror movies, such as The Wolf Man (1941 ) and Son of Dracula (1943 ).
