Scaph "oid, a. Etym: [Gr. -oid: cf. F. scaphoïde.] (Anat. )

 

Defn: Resembling a boat in form; boat-shaped. -- n.

 

Defn: The scaphoid bone. Scaphoid bone (a ) One of the carpal bones, which articulates with the radius; the radiale. (b ) One of the tarsal bones; the navicular bone. See under Navicular.
