a.[supra. ] Having the power to increase perspiration; sudorific; sweating.

 

DIAPHORETIC

n.A medicine which promotes perspiration; a sudorific. Diaphoretics differ from sudorifics; the former only increase the insensible perspiration; the latter excite the sensible discharge called sweat.
