Tithonus

Ti tho nus |tīˈTHōnəs taɪˈθoʊnəs |Greek Mythology a Trojan prince with whom the goddess Aurora fell in love. She asked Zeus to make him immortal but omitted to ask for eternal youth, and he became very old and decrepit although he talked perpetually. Tithonus begged her to remove him from this world, and she changed him into a grasshopper, which chirps ceaselessly.
