DOLERITE
Dol "er *ite, n. Etym: [Gr. (Geol. & Min. )
Defn: A dark-colored, basic, igneous rock, composed essentially of pyroxene and a triclinic feldspar with magnetic iron. By many authors it is considered equivalent to a coarse-grained basalt.
