どんどん 1 （副 ）① 物事の調子よくはかどるさま 。また ，ためらわずに事をすすめるさま 。「工事が ―（と ）進む 」「一人で ―先に行ってしまう 」② 物事や動きの切れ目がなく ，次から次と続くさま 。「荷物を ―（と ）運び出す 」「―（と ）客が来る 」③ 太鼓を鳴らす音 ，銃砲を発射する音を表す語 。強く足踏みをしたり物をたたいたりする音 ，水が強くぶつかる音などにもいう 。「祭りの太鼓が ―（と ）聞こえる 」「ドアを ―とたたき続ける 」

どんどん節

どんどんぶし 【どんどん節 】明治末期から大正初期のはやり唄 。浪曲師の三河屋円車が唄い ，楽屋で太鼓をどんどんと打たせて人気を博したのが始まり 。「駕籠で行くのはお軽じゃないか 」で始まるものが有名 。
