KRAIT
Krait, n. Etym: [Native name. ] (Zoöl.)
Defn: A very venomous snake of India (Bungarus coeruleus ), allied to the cobra. Its upper parts are bluish or brownish black, often with narrow white streaks; the belly is whitish.
