Quag "ga, n. Etym: [Hottentot. ] (Zoöl.)
Defn: A South African wild ass (Equus, or Hippotigris, quagga ). The upper parts are reddish brown, becoming paler behind and behind and beneath, with dark stripes on the face, neck, and fore part of the body.
