Diabetes mellitus Etym: [NL. , sweet diabetes ], that form of diabetes in which the urine contains saccharine matter. -- Diabetes insipidus Etym: [NL. , lit. , diabetes ], the form of diabetes in which the urine contains no abnormal constituent.
