PREDICABLE

a.[L. proedicabilis, from proedico, to affirm; proe and dico, to say. ] That may be affirmed of something; that may be attributed to. Animal is predicable of man. Intelligence is not predicable of plants. More or less is not predicable of a circle or of a square. Whiteness is not predicable of time.
