ENCLITIC
a.[Gr. inclined; to incline. ] 1. Leaning; inclining, or inclined. In grammar, an enclitic particle or word, is one which is so closely united to another as to seem to be a part of it; as que, ne, and ve, in virumque, nonne, aliusve.
2. Throwing back the accent upon the foregoing syllable.
