おなじ 【同じ 】形容詞 1 【同一 同種の 】the same ; identical /aidéntikl /; similar .使い分け same 時間 時期 方法 性別 年齢などが完全に同一であるか ，ごく類似していることをさす最も一般的な語 ．通例 the, 時に this, that, these, those などの限定詞とともに用いる. the same を強調すると exactly [very much ] the same, the very same, one and the same の形が用いられる ．identical 寸分も違わず ，完全に同一であること ．similar 完全に同一ではないが ，種別 特性 形状などが同種で似ていること ．▸ 君が行こうと行くまいと同じことだ ｟どうでもよい ｠It is all the same [(違いはない ) It makes no difference ] whether you will go or not . (!will を忘れないよう注意 ) ▸ でも同じことじゃない?But what difference does it make? (!But isn't it the same? としない方がよい ) 会話 ▸ 「お茶を1杯持ってきてください 」「私も同じものをお願いします 」“Please bring me a cup of tea .” “Same for me [｟話 ｠ Same here ], please .”▸ 「どっちの月がいい ？」「6月だろうが7月だろうがぼくにとってはどっちでも同じことだよ 」“Which month would you prefer? ” “June or July, it's all the same to me .”▸ 「かわいそうな小犬 ，悲しそうだわ ．連れて帰ったらいけないかなあ 」「私も同じことを考えていたところよ ｟それはまさに私が考えていたことだ ｠」“Poor puppy! He looks sad . (!(1 ) 一般に the same … の後に節が続く場合, as は 「同種 」のものを, that は 「同一 」のものを暗示するが, このような区別は守られないことも多い. (2 ) ｟話 ｠ では文脈から明らかな場合 as の後の (主語 +)動詞がしばしば省略されるが, that では不可. (3 ) the same … の後に節が続く場合, that の方が口語的. ｟話 ｠ では the same … がそれに続く節の目的格にあたる場合, that や as がしばしば省略される ) ▸ いつもと同じ ｟いつもの ｠電車に乗り遅れる miss the same train as one always takes / miss one's usual train .▸ 彼のペンは私がきのう買ったのとそっくり同じだ His pen is exactly the same as [╳with ] the one I bought yesterday . (!…the same as I bought yesterday. より普通.「同一 」でなく 「同種 」であることを明確にする場合は His pen is exactly like the one …. とする ) His pen is identical with [｟話 ｠ to ] the one I bought yesterday .▸ 彼の意見は私とだいたい同じだ His opinion is much the same as mine . (!as の後に人称代名詞が続く場合, (助 )動詞を添える方が口語的. また ｟話 ｠ では as me の形が多い ) ▸ 花子は私と同じくらい多くの本を持っている Hanako has as many [╳much, ╳a lot of ] books as I (do ).▸ 仙台にはここと同じくらい多くの友人がいる As many of my friends are in Sendai as (are ) in here .会話 ▸ 「この前のコンサートよりよかったかい 」「同じくらいかな ｟ちょうど同じだけよかった ｠」“Was it better than the last concert? ” “Just as good .” (!後の文は as the last concert が省略されている ) ②…と同じように ▸ 彼も君と同じようにそこへ行った He went there, like [╳as ] you .
