a.[See Damp. ] 1. Not seeing clearly; having the vision obscured and indistinct.

3. Somewhat dark; dusky; not luminous; as a dim shade.
4. Dull of apprehension; having obscure conceptions.

1. Not bright or distinct; wanting luminousness or clearness; obscure in luster or sound; dusky; darkish; obscure; indistinct; overcast; tarnished. The dim magnificence of poetry.
